Hi everyone and welcome to my website.
My name is Simon Lee Pales, I was born in the United Kingdom, in a town called Wellingborough in Northamptonshire and I have a serious case of Itchy feet.
I first got itchy feet back in 1998 when I first got on a plane and went to Thailand for a 3 week holiday and couldn't believe how easy it was to travel up and down in a foreign country and not speak a word of the local language. Tens years on and 18 countries later I still very much have itchy feet, which can't stay in one place for very long.
Most of my travelling has so far been on the backpacking routes around South East Asia, South Asia, Australia & New Zealand plus the odd country in North America & North Africa.
While travelling I have taken a bit more interest in Photography but not to seriously more of a hobby really. Like most of us, I started with compact film cameras then switched over in 2006 for a digital camera. I now use a Finepix S5600 Fuji Camera.
2008 has been a busy year with four trips in a space of 12 months starting with Morocco, Tunisia, India and finally returning back to Morocco for a final trip of the year.
2009 sees me cutting back to one trip In December where again I will return back to India for 3 weeks.
There will be many photos from other destinations from around the world where I have been coming up later in the year.
